Treasures Sports Bar & Grill now open in the Central West End
The new restaurant is in the former Troy's Listening Room space
A new venue has arrived in the Central West End, bringing a dynamic blend of soul food, live music and a vibrant atmosphere to the neighborhood. Treasures Sports Bar & Grill, located at 4517 Olive St., occupies the multi-level space that once housed Troy’s Listening Room. Under the direction of owner Michelle Terry, the venue has been thoughtfully designed to offer something for everyone – whether you're looking to enjoy a sports game, unwind with live music or savor a delicious Southern-inspired meal.
With high ceilings, expansive south-facing windows and refinished wooden floors, the main lounge is bathed in natural light, offering a welcoming and energetic vibe. Terry, who also owns Destiny Home Health & Adult Day Center nearby, has carefully curated the space to avoid the typical sports bar aesthetic, preferring a more polished look that allows for a range of events. "My vision was to make it a versatile space," Terry explained, noting that while there will be more TVs added to cater to sports fans, the atmosphere will remain flexible for hosting everything from weddings to corporate events. As Terry shared, "It's not just a restaurant, it's not just a business, I want people to come and feel like they're at home there."
The food menu is a standout feature at Treasures, offering daily soul food staples, Sunday exclusives and creative brunch items. Menu highlights include smoked turkey legs, “Grandma’s Catfish” with a signature Hennessy sauce, crispy chicken wings and Treasure’s pot pie. The Sunday soul food menu is also a major draw, featuring classics like macaroni and cheese, classic Cajun shrimp and grits, greens, dressing with gravy, and cornbread, all with that comforting, soulful flavor.
Another crowd favorite is the Sunday Brunch Burger, which features a unique twist: a waffle bun that brings a touch of sweetness and texture to the dish, complementing the savory burger in an unexpected yet delightful way. On weekdays, the menu shifts to casual offerings such cheeseburger sliders, wings, and other bar snacks that complement a drink list growing with customer demand.
As Terry looks to the future, a fourth space — a basement-level cigar bar emphasizing whiskey — will add another layer of sophistication to the venue. Though the cigar bar isn’t quite ready yet, the sports bar and live music offerings continue to drive Treasures’ popularity.
With a focus on hospitality and creating a welcoming community space, Treasures Bar & Grill is poised to become a beloved neighborhood gathering spot. Terry’s personal commitment to making all guests feel at ease is evident in the thoughtful design of the space and the diverse entertainment options that cater to every taste. "Come sit, enjoy yourself. Listen to some good music, watch some sports on TV, or whatever you need to do to make your day get better," Terry encourages, embodying the heart of what makes Treasures a place for everyone to call home.
