The inaugural Burgerfest is set to take place on Sunday, Oct. 27, from noon to 3 p.m. at The District in Chesterfield. Organized by 4 Hands Brewing Co., this event aims to raise funds for the Veterans Community Project, an organization dedicated to ending veteran homelessness. This partnership has inspired the creation of an event that not only celebrates local culinary talent but also contributes directly to the community.

4 Hands Brewing Co. has built a strong partnership with the Veterans Community Project, which began four years ago after visiting their Kansas City headquarters. The collaboration initially started through the sales of their popular Statewide Hazy American Pale Ale, and Burgerfest is a natural progression in 4 Hands' commitment to expanding their support for the organization"We immediately saw the impact they were making in the Veteran homeless community. It is not only impressive but they made us feel like their mission was something we needed to be a part of," shared Liz Swyers, Chief Marketing Officer for 4 Hands Brewing Co.

Burgerfest will feature a lineup of mouthwatering burgers from popular local establishments, including Blues HogHi-Pointe Drive-In, Stacked Burger Bar and Brasserie by Niche, as well as innovative offerings from Chef Juwan Rice of Rated Test Kitchen and more. Among the highlights is the “Ridin’ Curdy” burger from Hi-Pointe, topped with garlic cheese curds and gravy mayo, and the Katsu Burger from Rated Test Kitchen, which boasts a panko wagyu patty and miso cheddar.

Each general admission ticket includes a 1/4-pound burger from each participating restaurant, cones of fries and a cold beer from 4 Hands Brewing Co. Guests can enjoy classics like City Wide American Pale Ale alongside newer seasonal beers and 4 Hands' new hard iced tea, all thoughtfully paired with the featured burgers. "We did the work for you! All burgers are paired with a beer based on burger ingredients and our beer profile, but our guests can feel free to mix and match," Swyers explained.

One of the most exciting aspects of Burgerfest is that 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Veterans Community Project. Attendees can feel proud knowing that their ticket purchases directly support the mission of ending veteran homelessness in St. Louis. With general admission tickets available for $50 and children's and designated drivers tickets for $25, the event is designed to be inclusive for families and friends alike.

Looking ahead, 4 Hands Brewing hope to make Burgerfest an annual celebration. With the overwhelming support from local restaurants and the community, this inaugural event is poised to create a lasting impact. As Swyers stated, "[We] want to make sure our guests know that when they purchase a ticket for this event, their ticket is going straight to The Veterans Community Project North St. Louis Village. I hope our guests not only have a great time…but feel a sense of pride for supporting such a wonderful organization, that brings strength, stability and honor to our veterans "
