Downtown St. Louis Restaurant Week returns Oct. 14-20

Downtown St. Louis is once again ready to dazzle food lovers with the return of its highly anticipated Restaurant Week, set to run from Oct. 14-20. This exciting, week-long event celebrates the thriving restaurant scene in the heart of St. Louis, offering special deals and discounts at over 30 of the city’s most popular eateries and bars. It's an opportunity for locals and visitors alike to sample a rich assortment of St. Louis fare while rediscovering the historic downtown area.

The event is organized by Greater St. Louis, Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on promoting inclusive economic growth throughout the region. This year's Downtown Restaurant Week highlights the diverse culinary offerings that make downtown St. Louis a dynamic food destination. “St. Louis is second to none as a food city, and we want everyone to come down to experience just how great the restaurants are here,” said Kurt Weigle, Chief Downtown Officer for GSL. “Downtown Restaurant Week not only showcases some of the best restaurants in the metro but also highlights the ongoing efforts to make downtown safe, vibrant and beautiful.”

Restaurant Week offers something for every food enthusiast, as participating establishments feature a wide range of discounts and special menu items. Local favorites such as Salt + Smoke, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria, Billy's on Broadway and Sugarfire Smoke House are just a few of the restaurants taking part in the celebration. Additionally, several establishments are preparing exclusive event specials that promise to delight diners. Among the highlights are succulent pork belly from rooftop bar Three Sixty, rich pumpkin curry from Aubergine Cafe and a flavorful hot honey club sandwich from The Schlafly Tap Room.

While the focus is certainly on food, Downtown St. Louis Restaurant Week also serves a broader purpose. In addition to attracting food lovers, the event is part of a larger initiative to promote downtown St. Louis as a lively and exciting destination. Organizers hope that by highlighting the area's growing restaurant scene, they can bring more attention to the ongoing efforts to revitalize downtown into a more walkable and bikeable space. "Having a vibrant restaurant scene is part of the bigger picture," Weigle explained. "People will see a growing, more vibrant street scene."

Downtown St. Louis Restaurant Week officially kicks off on Oct. 14. To help diners plan their visits, more information, including a full list of participating restaurants and details on their exclusive offerings, is available on the official event website. The website serves as a comprehensive guide, allowing patrons to explore the various dining options, view special menus and make reservations where necessary.
