Look out for the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile in St. Louis on Friday
The sausage-shaped truck will make stops in South City and Florissant
If you spot a giant hot dog on wheels on Friday, your first impulse might be to go get your eyes checked. However, you can trust your senses: The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is in town, making stops at two St. Louis-area Schnucks locations on Aug. 9.
The Kraft Heinz-owned hot dog giant’s Wienermobiles (six vehicles are on the road at any given time) have traversed the United States for decades to promote Oscar Mayer’s range of packaged meats. Fox 2 reported that the Wienermobile arrived in St. Louis on Thursday, Aug. 8, with stop at Schnucks locations in Ballwin and Town & Country.
The tour continues on Friday, when the Wienermobile will pull up at Schnucks’ Hampton Village location (60 Hampton Village Plaza) in South City from 9 a.m. to noon, before moving on to Schnucks Cross Keys (13987 New Halls Ferry Road) in Florissant from 1 to 4 p.m. You can grab a photo, and there may also be merch available too. If you miss the Wienermobile this time around, fear not: The Wienermobile’s tour schedule (yes, there is such a thing) lists future St. Louis-area stops on Sept. 20 and 21.
It’s quite a week for four-wheeled tributes to pop culture icons in St. Louis, with Rick and Morty’s Rickmobile also stopping off on Thursday evening at Schlafly Tap Room in Downtown West.
