St. Louis-based Still 630 Distillery wins Best in Class Rum from American Craft Spirits Association

Still 630, a distillery at 1000 S. Fourth St. in downtown St. Louis, cleaned up at the American Craft Spirits Association Awards this spring. The brand took home 11 medals for its spirits, including a gold medal for its Five-Year Expedition Rum, which also won Best in Class Rum for the entire craft distilling space.

“We are truly honored and humbled to be chosen as the best Rum by ACSA,” owner and distiller David Weglarz said in a release. “We continue to be excited about the evolution of our distillery and I think it’s representative of the quality of spirits coming out of Missouri in general.”

The brand’s Knowledge of Good Apple Brandy also received a gold medal. It’s other medal-winning spirits this year include: Missouri Bourbon Cask Strength Whiskey, S.S. Sorghum Whiskey Bottled-in-Bond, RallyPoint Straight Rye Whiskey, Double Barrel RallyPoint Straight Rye Whiskey, Expedition Rum, Knowledge of Evil Apple Brandy, Volstead’s Folly Gin, Confluence American Gin and American Navy Strength Gin.

Still 630 has now won five Best in Class awards with previous winners including: Confluence Gin in 2023, American Navy Strength Gin in 2020, Five-Year RallyPoint Straight Rye Whiskey in 2018, and Double Barrel RallyPoint Straight Rye Whiskey in 2016.

The distillery's tasting room is open to the public from 5 to 9 p.m. on Fridays, offering an assortment of cocktails, flights and bottles available for purchase.
