Rockwell Beer Co. in the Grove reveals new food concept in wake of Brasswell closing
Just two weeks after announcing the departure of Niche Food Group’s Brasswell at Rockwell Beer Co.’s location at 1320 S. Vandeventer Ave. in the Grove, the brewery has announced its new food menu, which was developed over the past three months by Rockwell’s new culinary director, longtime employee Stephen Kovac, and his team.
Brasswell fans will be glad to know the kitchen is keeping favorites like the smash burgers and chicken sandwiches, and guests can look forward to even more shareable items than before, including pretzel bites, hummus, chicken wings and loaded fries.
“Stephen has been running the kitchen at our Francis Park beer garden for a while and has been absolutely crushing it,” Dan Heaghney, director of operations at Rockwell Beer Co., said in a release. “In his new role, Stephen will be able to ensure we’re delivering high-quality food to pair with our hand-crafted beers and extensive beverage programs at both of our locations. Before we built the new menu, we solicited and listened to customer feedback. We have tons of young families that hang out at both locations and other guests who just want a quick snack, not a full meal. I think we’ll have something for everyone, and we’re excited for this next chapter.”
Rockwell has also debuted a new catering menu, complete with appetizers, a slider bar and desserts.
“At the end of the day, I love a burger and a beer - it’s the perfect combination,” Kovac said in the release. “I’m excited for the opportunity to put my spin on these classics and to pair them with our beers. Beers, burgers and good times – this is going to be fun. This expansion is the first of several by Rockwell in coming months - stay tuned for more news soon.”
