Raw oysters are one of nature’s great delicacies. Briny and slippery, they are great on their own, dressed only in their naturally occurring brine (known as liquor) and a little lemon juice, though it can be fun to mix it up with a splash of hot sauce or mignonette (a vinegar-based condiment). Broadway Oyster Bar
Choose from two different varieties: Connecticut farm-raised Blue Point oysters (half-dozen: $14; dozen: $27) or Louisiana oysters (half-dozen: $13; dozen: $25). Both are served with horseradish and housemade, spicy gin cocktail sauce. Special pricing on Louisiana oysters is also available on weekdays: $1.50 a piece from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday.
