4 deals for $10 or less at Good News Brewing, Like Home and more

1. Nosh your way through the delightful smorgasbord that is Parker's Table, the corner specialty food and drink shop that is anything but humdrum. The shelves are stacked high with meats from Salume Beddu and a collection of wine, beer and spirits. Right now, try the new Pampelonne canned wine spritzers for only $5. The 8-ounce can is the perfect size for summer picnics and float trips. Try the French 75 or the Blood Orange Spritzer, made with kafir lime and cinchona bitters.

2. Meat eaters looking for new spots should swing by Carnivore. The family-owned steakhouse on The Hill specializes in flame-grilled prime cuts and signature compound butters, but this month it’s offering a tasty Taco Tuesday deal. Get two tacos plus the margarita of the week for only $10. Snack on grilled steak or chicken street tacos or go a la carte – tacos are $3 each and house-made tortilla chips with rioja salsa are only $4.

3. It’s always better to work out before you hit the bar, and Good News Brewing has a great deal to keep you motivated. In partnership with St. Louis Running and Fitness, join the O’Fallon, Missouri craft brewery every fourth Wednesday of the month for a pub run at 6:30 p.m. Run, walk or skip the entire 1.7-mile loop around the brewery and then enjoy one free beer and unlimited wood-fired pizza and salad for only $10. Burn calories and make new friends in the craft beer community – it’s a win-win.

4. Summer is heating up, and Like Home offers something cold and sweet to beat the heat. This month, visit the French-inspired bakery and pastry shop in Midtown to try its new ice cream brioche sandwiches for only $5. Sweet, fresh-baked brioche buns add an air of sophistication to the, humble kiddie treat, which comes with house-made vanilla or chocolate ice cream. For that price, grab two and double-fist ‘em.
