Whisky on Washington in downtown St. Louis has moved to the former Lucas Park Grille Space

The bar now serves food such as burgers, nachos and wings

St. Louis’ favorite downtown whiskey bar has relocated. Whisky on Washington has moved from 1321 Washington Ave. to the 9,000-square-foot space across the street at 1234 Washington Ave., formerly occupied by Lucas Park Grille. This is a big upgrade from the former 1,500-square-foot space.

Whisky on Washington still boasts an extensive collection of whiskeys from around the world, carefully chosen to please every palate and specialty cocktails such as the Wow-mopolitan, a whiskey-infused version of the Cosmopolitan.

One of the most significant modifications is that American-style bar food will now be served in the space; previously, patrons were allowed to bring in or order food from outside. Owner David Shanks is thrilled to welcome chef Tasha Jackson in the kitchen who will be serving classic bar fare including wings, nachos and burgers.

Come celebrate with them at their grand opening on Sept. 6, starting at 5 p.m., where guests may sample their new cuisine and, of course, the best whiskeys the bar has to offer. In the meantime, only the 100-square-foot patio will be open as Shanks trains his staff.
