St. Louis restaurants compete in Wing Ding fundraiser at Armory STL on Aug. 13
The annual event supports UCP Heartland’s St. Louis-area care programs
Local restaurants will converge on Armory STL at 3660 Market St. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, for UCP Heartland’s 14th annual Wing Ding fundraiser. A panel of judges will evaluate the restaurants across three different categories to decide whose wings win out.
Every year, Wing Ding supports UCP’s range of programs for children and adults with differing abilities living in the St. Louis area. The organization’s support services include adult day programs, autism services, early childhood development, employment resources and more.
This year’s local participating restaurants include Bogart’s Smoke House, Felix’s Pizza Pub, Crafted, Chicken Scratch, Joey B’s on the Hill, Imo’s Pizza and Duke’s BBQ Shack, among others.
The restaurants will each offer up wings in three categories – traditional (Buffalo), dry rub and specialty. The panel of local celebrity judges will select their favorite wings, but the audience will also have the chance to vote on a “People’s Choice” award.
The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are available online, and donations can also be made directly at the same link.
