Brewed Arts Festival returns to Cherokee Street this weekend

The beer and art festival takes place on the afternoon of Saturday, Aug. 17

The third annual Brewed Arts Festival returns to Cherokee Street in south St. Louis on Saturday, Aug. 17, filling a whole mile of the popular entertainment district.

Attendees of this ticketed event, which takes place from 1 to 5 p.m., can expect tastings of more than 25 beers from more than 15 regional breweries, curated by Saint Louis Hop Shop, along with music and art curated by Screwed Arts Collective.

“Brewed Arts Festival is unlike any other beer festival in St. Louis because it combines our region’s tasty craft beer scene with the vibrant and eclectic arts culture on Cherokee Street,” said Emily Thenhaus, executive director of Cherokee Street Foundation, which organizes the event. “At this year’s event, there will be more artists popping up than ever before with more than 30 local creators scattered along Cherokee Street, along with live paintings by artists like Killer Napkins and six DJ sets.”

The event also offers an excellent opportunity to peruse Cherokee Street’s many shops, galleries and bars.

“The festival is a great chance for St. Louisans to explore Cherokee Street and perhaps find new favorite shops they haven’t been in before, like Fifteen Windows Art Gallery or Zephyr Bar and Salon,” Thenhaus said.
