UKraft moves to larger space in downtown St. Louis

“We love being in the heart of downtown,” said co-owner Mike Ratz

Downtown St. Louis cafe UKraft is getting bigger. The daytime cafe announced yesterday that it would be moving to a larger space in the Peabody Plaza at 701 Market St.

The new location will offer not only more seats but an expanded menu that includes all-day brunch and weekend hours.

"We are thrilled to introduce our unique and delicious brunch offerings in our new location,” co-owner Matt Ratz said in a statement. “The positive reception and popularity at our Chesterfield site have motivated us to bring this experience to downtown St. Louis."

The cafe will now be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the weekends.

“Our family are lifelong St. Louisans who take tremendous pride in St. Louis,” Ratz continued in a statement. “The stunning views of the Arch and Kiener Plaza from our floor to ceiling windows will make the dining experience truly unforgettable. We love being in the heart of downtown.”

The cafe began as a food truck in 2018 and opened a brick and mortar in 2019 in Clayton. The concept expanded to downtown St. Louis in 2020 and opened in Chesterfield in 2022.

UKraft is known for using locally sourced ingredients and for letting customers customize their bowls, wraps, salads and more.

“It’s meals crafted your way,” Ratz told Sauce in 2022.
