Russell's Cafe & Bakery products can now be found in all Dierbergs locations around St. Louis
Fans of Russell’s Cafe & Bakery can now buy some of their baked goods, including their famous gooey butter cake with salted shortbread crust, at all 27 Dierbergs locations.
Four Russell’s products are now available at Dierbergs: original gooey butter cake; chocolate chip gooey butter cake; Grammy's carrot cake; and fudge brownies.
"We’re thrilled to bring Russell’s gooey butter and our other signature treats to Dierbergs," chef-owner Russell Ping said in a release. "We hope these products will evoke fond memories and create new ones for all who try them."
The flagship Russell’s location opened in 2006 at 952 Brookwood Center in Fenton when chef-owner and baker Russell Ping was just 22 with the help of his mother Kate Ping. There is also a location at 5400 Murdoch Ave. in South City. In addition to baked goods, both Russell’s locations sell a variety of food items such as sandwiches and salads.
"Our journey from a small café with just a few employees to expanding into Dierbergs is a testament to our commitment to quality and community," Ping said. "We’ve always cared deeply about our guests, and now we can share our gooey butter and other beloved products with even more people.
