8 St. Louis restaurants offering fish fries
Fish fry season is well underway, and we can’t stop uncovering delicious-sounding fried fish specials around town. Bring yourself up to speed with our first roundup of 10 restaurants offering Lent specials, but here are another eight fish fry options – not all are limited to Fridays – to give you even more to choose from.
The Biscuit Joint

Bolyard’s Meat & Provisions
Maplewood’s premium butcher is offering their fried cod sandwich special every day through Easter Sunday. The cod is accompanied by pepper jack, bread and butter pickles, green goddess dressing and bibb lettuce and served on Companion brioche, with french fries.

Bulrush
Bulrush’s nod to fish fry season isn’t available to order separately, but the restaurant’s current tasting menu includes walleye fillet of fish dressed with tartar sauce and served on a bolo (pineapple) bun.

Burger Champ
The Maplewood burger joint offers their Friday beer-battered cod sandwich special two ways. The classic comes with tartar sauce, shredded iceberg lettuce, diced white onion, pickle and American cheese. The spicy option is topped with sriracha aioli and arugula. Both are available through Lent.

Central State Sandwiches
If you haven’t tried any of the delicious sandwiches Central State is serving out of the food window at 2nd Shift Brewing, their Lent fish and chip basket (available every Friday) gives you a fine excuse to do so. The fish is hand-cut Alaskan cod beer-battered with the brewery’s Luggage Combination black lager, and it’s served with Central State’s well-done steak fries.
