Where to find local food, drink at Enterprise Center in St. Louis

The Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues start the 2019-2020 season today, Oct. 2, and Enterprise Center has rolled out new food options from local restaurants and more. 

Chef-owner Samantha Mitchell has added stationary adaptation of her popular food truck, Farmtruk on the mezzanine level of Enterprise Center. Fans can get fix of Farmtruk’s signature brisket mac and cheese and burger, as well as nachos and tacos.

Other local eateries with outposts inside the stadium include Byrd & Barrel with its popular fried chicken, Hi-Pointe Drive-In with burgers and milkshakes, and sister restaurant Sugarfire Smoke House, which will now offer its Big Muddy Sandwich at Enterprise Center. The popular sandwich features smoked brisket and jalapeno-cheddar sausage, and St. Louis sweet barbecue sauce and Alabama white sauce.

Kohn’s Kosher will dish up a favorite from last season’s playoffs, the Gloria, which features shaved rib-eye, pastrami, caramelized onions and cranberry-horseradish sauce and local chain Lion’s Choice offers its signature roast beef sandwiches.

Bruce Kraus, vice president of hospitality and strategy, said Enterprise Center hopes to add additional local restaurant partners in the near future.

Enterprise Center and Stifel executive chef Daniel Driol has also created new menu offerings that are a step above standard game day fare and meant to provide dinner, not just snacks, before the game. “That’s what our champion fans deserve … they deserve to come here and have a full meal,” he said.

New dishes include a Cajun cheddar chicken club sandwich, a gooey grilled cheese sandwich and a Bavarian poutine: fried pretzel bites with mustard gravy and cheese curds. 

Vegetarian and vegan fans have more options now, too. Beyond Burgers are now available at Portals 16 and 58, and a vegan Buffalo cauliflower features tempura cauliflower, a quinoa slaw, kale and an herb vinaigrette in a spinach wrap.

For opening night, guests can enjoy dishes from the playoffs like a chipotle pork steak torta a top a telera roll from Diana’s Bakery on Cherokee Street and a Monte Cristo double dog – classic monte cristo sandwich that also features a split, griddled hot dog.

Those looking for St. Louis area breweries have a one-stop shop at Brews of the Lou, featuring drafts and cans from 13 local breweries, including Center Ice Brewing Co., Urban Chestnut Brewing Co., Six Mile Bridge Beer, 2nd Shift Brewing and more at Portal 25.
