4 more events to indulge in this weekend

Whether you love extreme picnicking or Route 66, there are plenty of ways to fill up this weekend. Here are four more events for those who’re still peckish:

1. Summer of Making Kickoff BBQ
This neighborly block party combines tech demos and tours of the TechShop with a grill-focused menu from Vicia. Purchase vegetable-centric items like a grilled veggie grain salad or chilled gazpacho, then play a few lawn games and sip on punch, beer or wine on Vicia’s patio. RSVPs appreciated.

2. Mutts & Mimosas
Enjoy brunch with your furry friend at The Weingarten this Sunday. Nosh on a special limited menu, indulge in the bloody mary bar and bottomless mimosas and support the Belleville Area Humane Society. All pets must be leashed, have current vaccinations and hang out on the patio.

3. Planter’s House Ideal Cocktail Party
Planter’s House is celebrating the 100th anniversary of Tom Bullock’s “The Ideal Bartender,” so stop for the chance to sample 18 new cocktails from nine St. Louis bars, plus food and live music. Join author and celebrity bartender Gaz Regan for this boozy night out. Tickets available online.

4. Women of Civil Rights Happy Hour
Extend the weekend at the Missouri History Museum and learn more about women who advanced the civil rights movement in St. Louis during a guided tour of the exhibit "No. 1 in Civil Rights" while enjoying heavy hors d’oeuvres, a complimentary glass of Champagne and a cash bar.
