Best of Missouri Market fall festival returns to Missouri Botanical Garden this weekend

The Missouri Botanical Garden will be hosting the highly anticipated Best of Missouri Market from Friday, Oct. 6, to Sunday, Oct. 8. This event serves as a platform to exhibit artfully crafted products and delectable regional cuisine sourced from more than 120 esteemed vendors across the state of Missouri.

During the festival, attendees will find a food court located in the upper east parking lot that will feature a variety of food trucks. The selection for the food court will feature a new lineup of culinary offerings each day, including St. Louis favorites such as Seoul TacoGrace Chicken + FishDoughboys Wood Fired Pizza, and others. Catering St. Louis will also be featuring dishes incorporating plant protein sourced from local partner Harvest Shreds.

Festival goers will also have the opportunity to taste beer, wine,and spirits from some of Missouri's finest producers, including Switchgrass SpiritsSt. James WineryPublic House Brewing Co. and more. Food and beverage enthusiasts can anticipate live presentations by Allison Schilling, the creative mind behind St. Louis Cheese Boards, and Matt Sorrell, an expert mixologist from Cocktails Are Go!. These demonstrations will delve into the art of crafting charcuterie boards and autumn-inspired cocktails.

In addition to fine food, beer, wine, handcrafted jewelry and wares, native plants and more, both shoppers and diners can enjoy a variety of activities. Each day of the festival will feature informative presentations on the Maker’s Stage in the Bayer Event Center by Missouri Botanical Garden staff and local experts, exploring the delightful world of horticulture. These engaging talks will cover various topics, such as the art of floral design and the artful process of bulb planting.

The festival will feature live music performances each day by local artists, including acts such as Joe Park Trio, The Friends of Bluegrass, Acoustik Element and more. The highly anticipated Best of Missouri Market Kids' Corner makes its comeback this year, featuring exciting activities such as a petting zoo, face painting, arts and crafts,  pumpkin decorating and more. A Black Shire horse from Hermann Farm will also be available for limited appearances from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, and noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7. 

The event runs noon to 8 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are available online or at the door. Additional information about the festival and vendors can be found online.
