Pumpkin Buttered Rum

Pumpkin Buttered Rum


½ cup water
2 Tbsp. pumpkin butter (recipe follows)
1 oz. Sailor Jerry Spiced Navy Rum
1 oz. Myers’s Original Dark Rum
Cinnamon sticks for garnish


• Heat the water almost to boil. Put the pumpkin butter in a mug or glass and pour the hot water over it. Stir until the butter is melted.

• Add the rums and garnish each serving with a cinnamon stick.

To make the pumpkin butter:

1 lb. unsalted butter

¼ cup puréed cooked or canned organic pumpkin

8 oz. brown sugar

¼ tsp. ground cloves

¼ tsp. ground nutmeg

1 Tbsp. cinnamon

• Blend all the ingredients in a food processor.
