The African Film Festival introduces Saint Louis audiences to the latest in African cinema. Through a variety of genres, the films showcase the latest talent and new directions in cinema while highlighting themes in a variety of African countries. The 14th edition of the festival will feature Rokhaya Diallo’s film, From Paris to Ferguson; the filmmaker will be in attendance. A special Eye on Youth will take place on Saturday, March 30 at 3:00pm. This year’s festival features the first and second place feature narrative films from the prestigious and FESPACO Film Festival (The Panafrican Film and Television Festival) of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso (West Africa).


The 2019 Festival will run March 29 through March 31 in Brown Hall, Room 100 on Washington University’s Campus. The festival is free and open to the public. No tickets are required. Visit our site: africanfilm.wustl.edu.
