DD Mau Vietnamese Eatery will open a Webster Groves location this summer
This summer, a new dining option will come to Webster Groves, further cementing the neighborhood as having one of the county’s best stretches of restaurants. According to owner Julie Truong, DD Mau Vietnamese Eatery will open at 20 Allen Ave. in the former Firenza Pizza space, next to Layla.
“I really love Webster – it’s a nice little foodie town,” Truong said. “I really fell in love with the space, the neighborhood, the area.” She said she had been looking to expand the business and reach out to a new demographic of customers, and Webster felt like the right place.
The Vietnamese classics found at the restaurant’s Maryland Heights location at 11982 Dorsett Road will also be available at the new spot. “The menu will be the same,” Truong said. “The only thing we’ll add on will be a dessert area. We’re going to start with some soft serve and see what other sweets we can add on to that.”
Truong said she’ll eventually seek out a liquor license for the space, and will be open for indoor dining; hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
