Schlafly Farmers Market

Wednesdays through April, 4 to 7 p.m.,

Get your first pick of the spring produce when the Schlafly Farmers Market returns to its weekly schedule. Nearly 30 vendors will be present, including newcomers like Tamale Man, SeedGeeks and Two Men and a Garden.

Sauce Food Truck Friday

May 8 - 4 to 7 p.m.
Tower Grove Park, 4256 Magnolia Ave., St. Louis

It's BACK, St. Louis! Sauce Food Truck Friday returns May 8 with more delicious food and fun! More than 20 food trucks plan to park it at Sauce Magazine’s first Food Truck Friday of the season, including longtime favorites like Guerrilla Street Food and Seoul Taco and newcomers like RISE Coffee Truck. This year, grab local brews from Urban Chestnut Brewing Co and 4 Hands Brewing Company and stop by the Sauce tent to purchase Speed Passes, which enable holders to use expedited lines for ordering. Come early and bring lawn chairs, blankets, kids and dogs and rock out to the sounds of Letter to Memphis. St. Jude Harvest in the Heartland

May 19 – 6:30 p.m.
World’s Fair Pavilion at Forest Park, 1904 Concourse Drive., St. Louis

Join Sauce publisher Allyson Mace and the Pasta House Co.’s J. Kim Tucci at Harvest in the Heartland, a tasting event to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Sample delicious eats from area restaurants like Aya Sofia, Trattoria Marcella and Anne Gunn’s, and sip cocktails while bidding during a live auction. Tickets available online.

Schlafly Farmers Market

Stop by the Schlafly Farmers Market on your way home from work Wednesdays and gather your local produce from longtime vendors like Eckenfels Farms and Riverbend Roots Farm and newcomers such as Seeds of Hope.

Picnic in the Park

May 31 – 4 to 7 p.m.
Tower Grove Park, 4256 Magnolia Ave., St. Louis

Grab your picnic blanket and join hundreds of your closest friends at Picnic in the Park. Get your grub from one of six mobile eateries, including Taco Truck STL, Guerrilla Street Food and Bombay Food Junkies. Tour an exhibition featuring works by local artists while sipping an Urban Chestnut brew and enjoy live music. Bring the kids, too: a petting zoo, face painting and balloon animals await.

Tower Grove Farmers Market

Saturdays – 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Tower Grove Park, 4256 Magnolia Ave., St. Louis

Strawberries, asparagus and even a few late-May tomatoes are ripe for the picking at Tower Grove Farmers Market. More than 60 vendors will sell everything from produce and meat to preserves and bread. Arrive early to join in a free yoga session before taking your pick of the produce.

Midtown Farmers Market

Saturdays – 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
6655 Delmar Blvd., University City

Spring is in full swing at the Midtown Farmers Market. Art House Coffee will keep you caffeinated while you gather produce from new vendors like Iron Hill Farm and Robinson Family Farms.

It’s My Own Damn Fault Food Truck Event

June 4 – noon to 8 p.m.
Hollywood Casino St. Louis, 7777 Casino Center Drive, Maryland Heights

Get the beach party started before the Jimmy Buffet concert at the Hollywood Casino parking lot with outdoors bars and 10 mobile eateries like Pie Oh My! and Gioia’s Deli, who will pull up at 3 p.m. Then get in the Margaritaville mood with tribute band Rock This Boat until 7 p.m.

Celebrity Chef Series

June 8 – 5:30 p.m.
The Restaurant at the Cheshire, 7036 Clayton Ave., St. Louis

The Restaurant at The Cheshire and Sauce welcome acclaimed chefs Colby and Megan Garrelts of Bluestem in Kansas City and Rye in Leawood, Kansas. The Garrelts will join Restaurant chef Rex Hale for a five-course wine dinner, and the duo will also discuss their new cookbook, Made in America, and sign copies available for purchase through Left Bank Books.
