Yet another example of a great eatery in south city. We occasionally get lunch here, and when you get the sandwich in that deli paper, you know it's going to be good. I took one down when visiting family further down 55, and they were all jealous. Good prices, great staff... definitely an asset to the area.

Absolutely love this place, we go for lunch mainly and occasionally dinner, or just for a beer. it is just up the street from us, easy to walk to. Owner is involved and active-super nice. Good live music and when you least expect it you are listening to a living legend live. If you like sandwiches you will not be disappointed. Check it out.

Absolutely love this place. The #2 is my favorite. Huge sandwiches, great selection of chips, bottled pop and beer.

Love this restaurant. I go at least once a week. My personal favorite is the pulled pork - your choice of sauce: spicy or sweet and the most tender pork you'll ever taste.

Vince, the owner, tries to know the names and stories of all his regulars, and even memorizes orders, if you can limit yourself to just one!

The atmosphere is perfect, a relaxing cheers-y kind of place where you really get to know the faces of the regulars. And the blues is always playing, either live or on his sound system

My husband and I have been celebrating what can only be described as the "Summer of Deli." We have been to them all, well okay, at least a dozen. But, I feel I can safely present the award for best sandwich I've had in this city to the Hot Italian Beef at Blues City. Spicy and delicious and not nearly as bad for you as some I've tried. Plus, Vinnie is unbelievably nice and obviously invested in his business and his guests. A must try.
