Missouri Association for Free and Charitable Clinics' BBQ Fundraiser
Missouri Association for Free and Charitable Clinics (MAFCC), a non-profit organization that supports 15 charitable medical clinics that serve Missouri’s uninsured residents, will host a barbecue fundraiser on from noon to 5 p.m. All proceeds will benefit MAFCC and the charitable clinics it assists.
The event includes a barbecue rib cooking contest for college culinary arts students. Three first place winners will receive trophies and gifts, and there is a grand prize of a $500 college scholarship. Students must prepare their food entries at home and then bring their creations to the barbecue for judges to sample.
Founded in 2010, MAFCC assists Missouri clinics that provide comprehensive, life saving medical treatment for low income adults without health care insurance and without the economic means to pay for even their basic medical needs. MAFCC relies on volunteer doctors and nurses, as well as donations from the public, to stay in operation.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Donations are greatly appreciated. For more information, call (314) 471-6752 or visit https://collegecookoffpigroast.eventbrite.com/
