First Look: Dogwood Social House in Ellisville

West County just got a lot more fun. A second location of Dogwood Social House (the first opened in Cape Girardeau about a year ago) is now open at 15682 Manchester Road in Ellisville.

The menu aims to please any palate with its plethora of options, from wings, tacos and pretzels to burgers, steaks, salads, sandwiches, pizzas and more. Drink options are also plentiful, with options like specialty cocktails, including multiple flavors of mules, mai tais, mojitos and margaritas. There are also over two dozen wine options and over 80 beers on tap, many of which are local. Once the pandemic passes, customers will be able to self-serve the beers using a refillable card that can be scanned at each tap.

The 30,000-square-foot space is not only a restaurant and bar but also a comprehensive entertainment complex with an arcade, ax throwing, bocce ball, corn hole, air hockey, pool, darts and more.

“We want to be that catchall for every type of person,” said event manager Madison Pleimann. “We’re catering to families during the day – if a parent wants to come hang out with their friends, they can send their kids to arcade. We will also be showcasing sports when they’re all back. We have a ton of TVs, plus a 44-foot Jumbotron that can split into up to five screens.”

A third location of Dogwood Social House is slated to open within the next year in O’Fallon, Illinois, and owner Andy Patel is also looking at opening another location in St. Charles County at a later time.
