Levant in the CWE will become second Ranoush

Mediterranean restaurant Levant, located in the Central West End at 386 N. Euclid Ave., will close and reopen as a second location of Ranoush in late January or early February.

Ahmad Hameed co-owns the original Ranoush with his brother, Aboud Alhamid; they opened Levant in June 2018. Both brothers served as head chefs of Levant during its’ time in business and will co-own the new Ranoush, too.

Hameed said the expansion of other Delmar favorites to the Central West End inspired them to take their own popular Loop restaurant to the neighborhood.

“I mean, since Salt + Smoke just opened here and Mission Taco, Ranoush is going to be a good idea,” Hameed said. “It’s going to be like part of the Loop is over here.”

Guests can expect the new location to feature Ranoush’s original menu with favorites such as hummus, baba ghanoush, shawarma, lamb shish kebabs, as well as inheriting the lamb chops and chicken wings from Levant’s menu.
