Round up your squad and grab some drinks during Thirst for Life on Aug. 30 in support of the PAWS (Pets Are Wonderful Support) program.

Participating establishments donate 30 percent of beverage sales to support the PAWS program managed by the Saint Louis Effort for AIDS. Participating establishments include Rehab Bar & Grill, Tropical Liqueurs, Sub Zero Vodka Bar, 1764 Public House and Square One Brewery & Distillery, among others.

“We’ve had this event for a while now, so we’ve really zoned in on places we partner with,” said James Lesch, special events coordinator for Saint Louis Effort For AIDS. “This year’s group all identify with our cause and have had great success in years past.”

Last year, the event raised more than $52,000 for PAWS.

“It’s a really great excuse to have a buzz on a Thursday; you get to go out for a great cause,” Lesch said. “Plus, organizations like Pride St. Louis and the Human Rights Campaign host at different bars and get to put out their messages.”

A list of participating establishments is available online.
